Dear Backers,
We wanted to update you on our progress. We’ve completed an important milestone by wrapping up the survey related to product delivery. If anyone is still experiencing any issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
We’ve officially started mass production, and our products are now ready for shipping. Initially, we’re producing one unit per day, and we’re working on improvements to speed up this process.
During the assembly of the first product, we encountered an issue during the final mechanical and electrical tests. While making updates to enhance user experience, we noticed that the spindle motor would rotate for a few seconds unexpectedly. Even though the cover was closed, we couldn’t risk any safety concerns for our users. After investigating, we found that the analog pin used for spindle speed control was briefly activated during the boot and update operations of the controller. Although we have estimated eight of the nine pins in the design, unfortunately one (ninth pin) was overgone. We’ve since updated the board to use a different pin for spindle speed reference, preventing any unintended movement. We expect the updated boards to be assembled and tested this week, with installation into the panels planned for next week.
On the production side, we’ve created assembly and testing documentation for the mechanical assembly and electrical panels. Our new assembly team members have already begun contributing to mass production, thanks to this documentation and our quick orientation processes. Last month, we were manufacturing electrical panels with just one person; now we have a team of three. Our new colleagues completed their training last week and started working on electrical systems production and assembly this week. On the mechanical side, our team has grown from five to six members, with the newest member now fully onboarded.
We’ve completed testing on our embedded and PC software. The latest versions of our software are being installed on the machines during assembly. Additionally, we’ve released the V1.0.21.1 update for the interface software on the machine’s screen. As long as the machine is connected to the internet, it can automatically check for and install updates with the user’s permission. We’ve been applying all recent updates this way, ensuring that when the machines reach you, they will continue to receive updates as needed. We’ll be rolling out improvements and bug fixes through frequent updates, and we’re always open to your feedback and suggestions.
Thanks to your support, we’ve built a strong team that will keep pushing forward until the final product deliveries are made.
We’ll also be sharing a detailed schedule soon, outlining each step of the delivery process and when you can expect your product.
